There are several steps that are needed before applying for the building permit of your new custom home.
Below are some of the things Beiler & Co. does to streamline the permitting process:
* Initial research on all requirements and regulations, including health department records and land surveying to ensure that you can build your custom home on the property you’ve chosen. (Get us involved early!)
* Drawings and design. We can bring in our trusted draftsmen or architects to help you create a floor plan that you’ve been dreaming of.
* Septic permit. Beiler & Co. can assist with septic plans, soil tests, and permit applications to the Health Department for approval.
* VDOT approval. Your home will require a private entrance approval which may require a site visit from VDOT.
* Every project is different and may require additional surveys, proposed grading plans, a land disturbance permit, mechanical specifications, energy efficiency compliance forms, among many other things.
